Grooming To Go mobile grooming has a specialized grooming trailer set up to be completely self-sufficient. The trailer provides water and electricity and does not need to use any of your utilities. We will never have to ask to plug into your electricity, so there is no intrusion on your home. The trailer is climate controlled, well ventilated, and has hot and cold running water.
The trailer is set up for your pets comfort and happiness. A simple floor plan with easy access in and out of the trailer, as well as easy access in and out of the tub. The grooming table is hydraulic for easy up and down access for large breeds. The trailer is supplied electricity by a generator that will run most of the grooming time. The generator has a noise dampening system on it, but it does still make some noise, but not usually heard inside a house. The truck and trailer does take up some room in a driveway or on a curb, so plan ahead before making an appointment. Trash day may not be good day to schedule an appointment if your neighborhood is tight already. We can always meet somewhere that is more ideal if need be. Most appointments take one to two hours, depending on the breed and condition.
In the winter their may be appointments that may have to be rescheduled if it is storming heavily, or if the roads are to slick due to ice. It can be to hazardous to be out on the roads with a truck and trailer, and will reschedule the appointment for as soon as the road conditions are safe.
Removing the shedding undercoat of a double coated breed is a many step process from bathing in certain shampoos, to specific finishing sprays. We are educated and prepared to tackle the shedding. We do not shave double coated breeds at all. It is recommended to follow a regular, consistent grooming schedule to maintain a double coat. With a regular grooming schedule shedding will decrease.
