Here you will find a fenced in area with donated plastic bags and trash in the dog run. The rest of the park is on-leash only.

Spencer’s Run, Waverly Park (111 Cherry St.) -

If you are looking for a fenced-in area for off leash play, you might enjoy your time here. This park also offers grassy hillsides where dogs & people can walk, play and meet each other.

Norwalk CT:

Cranbury Park(Grumman Ave.) & Taylor Farm (Beach Rd.) -

There are 190 acres of land where off leash is a way of life with not too strenuous trails for you and your dog to enjoy.

Taylor Farm -

Here you will enjoy a swimming pond, trails, fields and a fenced area. Just be prepared to give you dog a bath after this adventure.

Bark Park Dog Park (Prospect Ridge) -

You can tell by just the name that is the dog park to see and enjoy. There are two fully fenced areas, one for small dogs and one for all dogs. This park also offers water, benches and “Built In Toys”. Wow!

Stamford CT:

Mianus River State Park (398 Merriebrook Ln.) -

This park offers on-leash hiking trails along the river as well as swimming.


If you are interested in bringing your dog to the beach...

Compo Beach in Westport, CT as well as some other beaches in this town allow off leash ”splish and splash” on certain parts of the beaches. The best time to enjoy this is October 1st-March 31st.
